Tongji Bayer ecological building and Materials Research Institute organized the round table forum of academicians of green building to advocate sustainable urbanization. On October 15, 2014, Shanghai - Tongji Bayer ecological building and Materials Research Institute, which actively advocated the concept of green building, successfully organized the "2014 Tongji Bayer round table forum of academicians of green building" at the 2014 Shanghai international green building and energy conservation Exhibition (GBC) held by Shanghai New International Expo Center, Leaders from the Ministry of housing and urban rural development, Shanghai Green Building Association and well-known academicians in the construction field of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered keynote speeches from different perspectives of green building, shared their insights, and interacted with industry experts in the green building industry value chain to jointly discuss how to meet the challenges and opportunities faced by the current and future sustainable development of buildings
in response to the call of the state to encourage green building and green building materials, Tongji Bayer ecological building and Materials Research Institute organized this forum on the occasion of the 2014 Shanghai international green building and energy conservation Exhibition (GBC). As people become more and more aware of the crisis of environment and energy, green buildings and building energy-saving technology will become the mainstream trend of the construction industry. This forum will help to solve the problems of high energy consumption and low efficiency in the process of building construction and use, so as to promote the sustainable development of green buildings
ganzhongze, President of Shanghai Green Building Association, and Dr. Christian Haessler, innovation director of Bayer Materials Technology Asia Pacific region, were invited as opening guests. Wu Zhiqiang, vice president of Tongji University, Han aixing, deputy director of the Department of building energy conservation and technology of the Ministry of housing and urban rural development, Bayer professor of Tongji University, Miao Changwen, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, and Zhang Jianyun, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering were invited to deliver keynote speeches
green buildings drive the innovation of related industries
China is a large resource consuming country. With the rapid development of urbanization and the real estate industry, the pressure on environmental protection, resource utilization and energy supply is increasing. China's urbanization construction over the years has largely been at the expense of natural resources. The whole construction industry has the problems of high energy consumption and low utilization rate. The extensive growth model seems to have run counter to the original intention of improving people's livelihood. In the process of infrastructure construction, many people in the industry expressed doubts about the 300million Euro European investment decision. Only by maximizing energy, land, water and materials conservation, protecting the environment and reducing pollution can we provide people with a truly healthy and comfortable living space
the Ministry of housing and urban rural development proposed in 2012 that the central government will take active measures to effectively increase the proportion of green buildings in new buildings. By 2020, green buildings will account for more than 30% of new buildings, and the level of energy and resources consumption in the process of building construction and use will be close to or reach the level of developed countries at this stage
green building takes "green, ecological and low-carbon" as the development concept. Due to the large deformation of rubber tensile testing machine during stretching, it can make the most efficient use of resources and minimize the impact on the environment, promote the benign development of the construction industry and drive the innovation of construction technology, which marks that the construction industry will face a revolution. Green building will put forward new ideas on the design, materials, structure and other aspects of the construction industry, and promote the development of energy-saving and environmental friendly building materials, liquid metals with the advantages of strong toughness, good elasticity, fast magnetization, new energy applications, energy-saving services, consulting and other related industries
academician exchange points out the maze for the green building industry
in this forum, speakers discussed some challenges faced by the development of green buildings and their countermeasures from different perspectives of building energy efficiency concepts and combined with practical cases. For example, academician Zhang Jianyun elaborated on the utilization of macro water resources from the perspective of "water saving", and discussed the utilization of water resources in the process of urbanization in combination with specific projects. Academician Miao Changwen explained the effective utilization of building material resources from the perspective of "material saving"
in fact, green building and sustainable urbanization are not only energy conservation and emission reduction, but also a very complex "system engineering". Green building standards are closely related to the work and interests of builders, material suppliers, contractors, architects and designers
Bayer materials technology advocates value chain partners to work together to promote sustainable urbanization
the ultimate goal of developing green buildings is to build an ecological city and achieve sustainable urbanization. As one of the largest polymer production companies in the world, Bayer materials technology actively advocates that all links of the industrial value chain go hand in hand, jointly improve the competitiveness of the enterprise itself and the whole industry, and provide support for the sustainable development of society and environment. Tongji Bayer ecological building and Materials Research Institute was jointly established by Bayer and Tongji University, a prestigious educational institution in China, to teach the concept of ecological building, carry out research and development of green building materials, and cultivate talents needed by the industry, so as to enhance the awareness of the Chinese public on environmental protection, energy conservation, quality and safety issues
the industrial value chain defined by Bayer materials technology includes six links: raw materials, production and operation, logistics, customer management, product use and waste recycling. The first three links focus on reducing the negative impact on the environment in the process of production and operation, and the last three links hope to create more value for the society
Bayer materials technology believes that the cooperation in all links of the chemical industry value chain will help to implement the principle of "human, earth and profit" (society, environment and business), and promote the sustainable urbanization development of China. The promotion of sustainable urbanization is full of challenges, but the industrial value chain can set the right direction for this process and lead the participants in the value chain to successfully deal with various challenges. As long as the enterprises from all links of the industrial value chain are united, they can meet all the challenges of future product utilization in the fields of construction engineering, all aluminum home furnishings, industrial materials, aerospace materials and so on, and can also benefit from the huge opportunities brought by sustainable urbanization
